Play checkers against the computer or human opponent. Hot Checkers includes three versions of the classic board game: American Checkers, Russian Shashki, and Giveaway.
Rules
- The game is being played on a 8x8 square board.
- Initially the pieces are located on both (upper and lower) edges of the board, in 3 rows.
- An ordinary piece may be moved one square diagonally normally, and three squares while capturing an opponent piece.
- An ordinary piece may become a queen piece, if it reaches the other edge of the board during the game.
- A queen piece may move any number of squares diagonally.
- You may capture any quantity of opponenet pieces in any diagonal direction.
- The main aim of the game is to capture all opponent pieces, or block them.
There are different modifications of Checkers:
American Checkers
- Pawn cannot eat backwards
- Queen can move only one square per turn
Russian Checkers
- Pawn can eat backwards
- Queen can move any number of squares per turn
Russian Give-away
- Rules the same as Russian Checkers
- The goal of the game is to give away all checkers or to become locked by opponent
